In short
- Installed K-Rend typically costs about £55–£90 per m² for the scraped, monocouche-style finish and £60–£120 per m² for K-Rend silicone thin-coat, before scaffolding.
- A three-bed Surrey semi with around 100 m² of wall commonly comes to roughly £6,500–£11,000 all in, depending on the K-Rend product and the preparation needed.
- Material is a small part of the price. Preparation, scaffolding, detailing and labour drive most of the cost.
- A good quote names the exact products, including base coat and mesh, so quotes compare like for like. Ours always do.

K-Rend price per m²
K-Rend is a brand made by Kingerlee, not a single product, so the price depends on which part of the range goes on your wall.
| K-Rend option | What it is | Typical 2026 installed range |
|---|---|---|
| Scraped through-coloured render, such as K1 | One thick silicone-enhanced coat, scraped back | £55–£90 per m² |
| Silicone thin-coat | 1–2 mm topcoat over a meshed base coat | £60–£120 per m² |
| Render over insulation | Insulation boards, meshed base coat and finish | £90–£150+ per m² |
These are published UK market ranges for supply and fit, not quotations. Scaffolding, removal of old render and repairs are usually priced separately.

Why K-Rend quotes vary so much
- Preparation. Rendering over sound pebbledash needs a levelling coat; failed render has to be stripped first.
- The product. A quote for scraped K1 and a quote for silicone thin-coat are not the same job.
- Base coat and mesh. Full-face mesh costs more than mesh only at window corners, but is far less likely to crack.
- Beads. Stainless steel and quality PVC beads cost more than galvanised steel, which can rust.
- Detail and access. Bays, gables, conservatories and narrow side passages all add time.
Guarantees
Product-backed guarantees on manufacturer systems generally depend on the installer using the complete system and following its specification. Ask what guarantee would apply to your job, who provides it and for how long, before you sign. Every Guildford Render installation comes with a 10-year written workmanship guarantee. Getting comparable K-Rend quotes
A good quote names the products, colour reference and finish, and lists preparation, beads, mesh, scaffolding and skips separately. Ours always do. Our K-Rend in Guildford page explains the range in more detail, and the quote checklist helps you compare.
Questions people ask
How much is K-Rend per m²?
Installed prices in 2026 typically run from about £55 per m² for K-Rend scraped render on clean blockwork to £120 per m² or more for silicone thin-coat over a levelled, meshed base. Surrey prices usually sit in the upper half.
Is K-Rend more expensive than other render?
Comparable products from established manufacturers are priced similarly. Differences between quotes usually come from preparation, access and labour rather than the brand.
How much does a bag of K-Rend cost?
Bag prices vary by product, colour and merchant, and change through the year. Materials are typically a small share of an installed job; labour and scaffolding cost far more.
Does K-Rend need painting?
No. K-Rend finishes are through-coloured. Budget for an occasional gentle clean instead of repainting.
